Our client, a transportation and hauling company in Lexington, SC is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Truck Maintenance Service Technician to join their team. This full-time, shop-based role involves performing critical maintenance and repair services on a fleet of approximately 75 heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
Must have at least 3 years in Heavy Truck Maintenance. Must provide own tools/toolbox.



Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and fleet equipment
  • Conduct DOT inspections and preventative maintenance checks
  • Replace and service common components (oil, brakes, tires, belts, batteries, lights, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Maintain accurate service records using the fleet management system
  • Refuel vehicles and replenish fluids
  • Mount, dismount, and repair truck tires
  • Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators)
  • Support general facility upkeep, including:
  • Cleaning shop and wash areas
  • Maintaining recyclables and bulk storage
  • Assisting with basic plumbing, carpentry, and grounds task
  • Follow all safety protocols and PPE guideline
  • Take direction from supervisors and work independently when needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience servicing Class 8 heavy-duty trucks
  • Heavy equipment maintenance experience is needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings
  • CDL license NOT required, but of course a plus

Schedule:
  • Typically working early shift, 6am to 3pm
  • Approximately 5 hours of Over time are expected per week (will be paid 1.5x for OT)
