Job Overview:
Our client in Williamston, SC is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join our team. In this role, you’ll focus on maintaining and repairing single-hit and progressive stamping dies, as well as other tooling, jigs, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal stamping, precision tooling, and the ability to work independently to meet high production and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate standard toolroom equipment (lathes, grinders, mills) to create and repair tooling.
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble progressive stamping dies.
  • Assemble tool components to meet dimensional tolerances with precision.
  • Perform surface grinding and polishing on flat and contoured parts.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and improve die performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to address material or design issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and modifications.
  • Mentor apprentices when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Tool and Die experience in metal stamping.
  • Experience with progressive dies is preferred.
  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification is a plus.
  • Must have own basic measuring tools and hand tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for metal stamping processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and operate industrial powered lift trucks and overhead cranes (certification assistance available).

Schedule:
  • 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday, 4am-2:30pm or 6am – 4:30pm)
  • 10-hour shifts (flexible starting hours)
  • Overtime as needed
