Our client seeks a Staff Accountant to perform financial and accounting activities including budgets, forecasting, and the preparation of financials. Candidate may also take on responsibilities related to payroll, accounts payable, and or accounts receivable. This position reports to the Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare Account Reconciliations to assist with month-end closing
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating capital project
    records and cost report records with minimal supervision and direction
  • Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
  • Develop capital project procedures and audit controls
  • Develop and maintain capital project files
  • Assist in developing computer programs to maintain capital project system
  • Review capital project purchases
  • Coordinate and document workflow and procedures between finance and other departments
  • Update and submit budget amendments
  • Maintain, update, and submit budget reports
  • Certify the accuracy of the reports submitted
  • Prepare and distribute annual capital projects budget
  • Develop cost reports, audit controls and perform account reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain cost report files
  • Develop and maintain a system of cash forecasting
  • Follow all safety, quality, production, environmental policies, and procedures
  • Be a good team member, assisting others as needed in a helpful way
  • While these are the expectations of the duties/tasks to be performed in the role, other tasks may be assigned.  Hours and time off are subject to change based on the needs of the business. 

Qualifications
  • Oracle EBS experience, highly preferred
  • Manufacturing experience, highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively establish rapport and present information
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office application proficiencies
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Effective organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Emphasis on continuous improvement in all tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within set timelines
  • 3+ years of related accounting experience, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, required
