Senior Supply Chain Manager
Location: – Onsite – Greenville, SC

Are you a strategic and results-driven supply chain professional with a passion for optimizing operations? Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their dynamic team. This critical role will oversee production scheduling, replenishment strategies, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including demand planning, procurement, and operations, to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production while maintaining exceptional customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead the development and execution of supply planning strategies to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage replenishment planning for raw materials and packaging supplies, maintaining continuous production flow and high supplier performance.
Master Production Scheduling (MPS):
  • Direct the master production scheduling for finished goods manufacturing, balancing supply and demand across batching and blending operations.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):
  • Facilitate alignment between demand planning, procurement, operations, and logistics through effective Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
Inventory Management:
  • Implement best practices for inventory management to maintain healthy stock levels while minimizing obsolescence and carrying costs.
  • Leverage data and forecasting tools to improve planning accuracy, reduce lead times, and ensure supply chain reliability.
 Customer Fulfillment & Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive customer order fulfillment, ensuring performance consistently exceeds a 99% fill rate.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production scheduling, reducing waste, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency.
Risk Mitigation & Performance Monitoring:
  • Monitor and mitigate risks related to aging inventory, collaborating with teams to optimize inventory turnover and reduce write-offs.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to build a skilled and motivated supply chain team.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management, specifically in production scheduling, inventory control, and S&OP within a food manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership, with at least 5 years of experience managing supply planning and scheduling teams.
  • Expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of S&OP processes, production planning methods, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with supply chain planning software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar).
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and an understanding of Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
