OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Food Safety Quality Technician who likes taking advantage of lots of overtime. This position pays up to $21/hour plus overtime pay for all additional hours worked over 40 hours. The position is primarily Monday-Friday during the day shift but does require some Saturdays and some early morning hours. The total compensation for one person in this position neared $90k last year, so someone who is very driven by the opportunity for overtime will make a great fit in this role. MUST have experience monitoring food safety within a manufacturing environment.
DETAILS
- Monitoring operational processes to ensure they are in compliance with SOPs and food safety regulations
- Work with regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance
- Reporting on trends and providing solutions to recurring issues
- Preparing for third party audits and assisting auditors
- Reviewing paperwork daily to ensure completion and compliance
- Fill out pre-shipment review daily
- Working closely with Quality Techs and sanitation team to ensure tasks are completed accordingly and paperwork is filled out appropriately
- Communicating with management to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner according to regulatory standards
- 60+ hours weekly including some Saturdays (overtime is paid)
- 4-6 a.m. start times some days
- 5-7 p.m. end times depending on the day
QUALIFICATIONS
- Food manufacturing/processing experience required on some level
- Quality audits experience required
- HACCP certification a plus
- Flexible availability to work 60+ hours during the week (day shift)
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but definitely not required
- No degree required
