Quality Manager
Quality Control Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and meet customer expectations.
  • Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness within the team.
  • Design and implement inspection and testing protocols to identify defects and deviations.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to integrate quality control measures into the manufacturing or service delivery processes.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to assess the effectiveness of existing quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize statistical methods to monitor and improve product or service quality.
  • Communicate quality control expectations to all relevant personnel and ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance.
  • Monitor customer feedback and address quality concerns promptly.
  • Work with customer support and sales teams to understand customer needs and expectations.
Continuous Improvement Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and sustainable results.
  • Develop project plans, set milestones, and track progress to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability at all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
  • Implement effective change management strategies to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and practices.
  • Communicate changes transparently and address concerns to promote a positive and adaptive work environment.
  • Work closely with department heads and teams to gather insights, feedback, and input for improvement initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among different departments and teams.
  • Conduct benchmarking activities to stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant innovations into the organization’s processes.

Basic Qualifications
  • Proven experience in quality control, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
  • NQ1 experience / certification is preferred. May consider ISO 9001 experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma).
