A law firm in Spartanburg is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with personal injury and workers compensation experience. This firm is known for a positive work culture with strong team dynamics. Paralegals here are valued for input and treated with respect.
 
Office hours are 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. 100% in-office.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Organize and maintain case files, including client correspondence, medical records, and other relevant documents
  • Schedule appointments, depositions, and court hearings
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
  • Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Transcribe dictations and prepare summaries of legal documents
  • Attend court hearings as needed with attorney
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a paralegal in litigation and personal injury law
  • Proficient in using document management systems and legal research databases
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Familiarity with data entry and recordkeeping processes
 
Benefits & Compensation:
  • $50,000 – $70,000, based on personal injury experience
