Our client in Salem, SC is hiring a passionate and driven Operations Manager to manage the operations of their outdoor center! The ideal candidate will have previous hospitality or sales management experience.

As the Sales Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to lead and grow their retail store and operations. If you’re a driven, results-oriented individual with a love for the outdoors and knack for customer service, we want you to help shape the next chapter of their business!

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate retail and rental staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
  • Train new employees, provide ongoing coaching and development for the team, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Drive retail sales for outfitting and general retail items
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, improve profitability, and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all customers have a positive experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Lead the expansion of food and drinks offered at the store.
  • Coordinate with food & beverage vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and cost control.
  • Manage inventory for the retail store and rental equipment, including stock ordering, restocking, and maintaining records.
  • Promote a family-friendly environment, ensuring the facility is welcoming to all guests.
Qualifications:
  • Background in hospitality, sales, retail, or even real estate
  • Strong customer service skills/service skills
  • Must be personable and able to work with a wide variety of backgrounds, able to handle difficult customers at times
  • Detail oriented mindset
  • Ideally experience in a management seat
  • Experience with food and beverage would be a plus
  • Strong work ethic
Schedule:
  • During the busy season (summertime) 5-6 days a week (60 hours per week) 10 hour days, usually 7am to 5pm and weekends often 12 hour days
  • Off season – 5 days/week, 8-5pm
Compensation:
  • $24-27/hour
  • Overtime will be time and a half
