The ideal candidate will have experience as a paralegal, a strong understanding of medical malpractice law, and a dedication to delivering exceptional legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial prep.
- Draft, proofread, and revise various legal documents, such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accurate documentation and proper filing.
- Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and experts as necessary.
- Conduct legal research and summarize medical records, depositions, and other pertinent materials.
- Provide support in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and trial notebooks.
- Manage deadlines and support case management to ensure timely progress.
- 1-3 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent education and experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- $55-60,000 salary
