Senior Maintenance Technician – Career Growth Opportunity

Shift Options: 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM) & 2nd Shift (3:10 PM – 11:40 PM)
Hourly Rate: $30-$40 per hour, based on experience
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team in a complex manufacturing environment, based in Greenville, SC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced production facility with 40 active lines running at once, including diverse operations such as blending, compounding, tube filling, and secondary packaging.
About the Role
You will be a key player in maintaining production and ensuring the quality of our machinery and mechanical equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including wet wipe sachet lines, tube and bottle filling systems, and more. This is an ideal position for someone with a strong mechanical, electrical, and control systems background, as we need someone to help transition from reactive maintenance to more proactive root cause solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust equipment for production runs, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, conveyors, and tools.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment as necessary.
- Fabricate and order parts for repairs, maintaining a steady workflow.
- Assist with plant equipment and conveyor system installations and movements.
- Maintain building facilities, HVAC systems, and overall grounds.
- Close out work orders, maintain accurate records, and communicate with internal customers.
- Enforce safety standards and contribute to the 5S housekeeping initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring plant uptime and efficiency.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Tech in a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team atmosphere and assist wherever needed.
- Flexibility in shift hours with the potential for occasional overtime.
- Results-driven, with excellent attendance and a willingness to learn.
- Prefer someone that can provide own tools
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School or Military experience preferred.
- Desire to grow into a leadership role (Supervisor position) for the right fit.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to assist with root cause fixes in a complex manufacturing environment.
