A manufacturing company in Laurens, SC is seeking a temp-to-hire Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in full charge accounting or bookkeeping, a bachelors degree in accounting, and strong technology skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing accounting system according to Federal and State Tax code.
- Reviewing and reconciling all banking transactions.
- Preparing all monthly and year end company financials – P/L, Balance Sheet.
- Working with third party service regarding company payroll.
- Review and reconcile ESP Investment accounts.
- Processing all customer credit card payments.
- Manage 401K Administrative fees & matching accounts.
- Responsible for all company wire transfers and ACH/EFT payments.
- Assist in preparing tax and financial documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 3 plus years of financial experience in manufacturing setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications
- ERP experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and GAAP principles
- $29 – $36/hr
