A custom home builder in College Station is hiring an experienced Drafter. This is a direct hire position, 100% onsite.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and construction details
  • Modify existing plans and create new designs based on client specifications and project requirements
  • Prepare and develop construction documents ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to translate concepts into precise technical drawings
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions to ensure the accuracy and quality of drawings throughout the design and construction process
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all drawings and revisions for accountability and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with the construction team to address any issues or questions related to the drawings
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new CAD technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality
  • Identify and resolve design-related problems or discrepancies during the construction phase
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of residential drafting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Preferred proficiency in CAD or Revit
 
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $60,000 – $65,000
