Controller Role with Strategic Impact at a Respected Financial Firm
We are partnering with a highly respected financial services firm to find an experienced Controller who will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and operations. If you have a strong background in financial management, accounting operations, and leadership, and are ready to take on a more strategic and impactful role, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

This company fosters a collaborative, family-like work environment where employees are valued and appreciated. They offer 100% employee-paid health insurance, bonus potential, and the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, directly influencing the company’s financial direction.

As the Controller, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations. This includes general ledger accounting, cash management, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will take the lead in preparing monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring all accounts and transactions are in line with accounting standards. Additionally, you will manage the company’s treasury functions, including handling bank wires, ACH transactions, and the necessary reconciliations.

You will also be the primary driver in developing the annual budget and managing monthly forecasting updates, ensuring that the company’s financial health is closely monitored at all times. As part of your role, you’ll assist in preparing for and supporting the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need at least five years of experience in financial management or accounting, with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting. Proficiency in QuickBooks (or a similar accounting software) is essential, as are advanced Excel skills, including the use of VLOOKUP and other data analysis functions. You should have an eye for detail and a knack for analyzing complex financial data. Additionally, you’ll need a proven track record of working independently in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.

Experience in the financial services or investment banking sectors is preferred, as is a hands-on approach to financial management within a growing company environment. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and enjoys being part of a close-knit team, this could be the perfect fit for you.

In return for your expertise, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% employee-paid insurance coverage, flexible work hours to help support a healthy work-life balance, and the potential for a bonus.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and join a growing company that values integrity, collaboration, and excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
