To manage the development, interpretation, and reporting of financial information to support the attainment of Company objectives.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with accepted accounting standards. Maintain general ledger revenue and expense accounts to report financial results to management.
Prepare and present confidential financial statements to management.
Analyze and report revenue and expense details with comparison to budget and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
Assist General Manager in developing and supporting short and long-term operational strategies.
Prepare or monitor monthly reconciliation of all assets, liability, and capital accounts.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking functions of the department.
Must be capable of managing accounting for multiple legal entities.
Capable of tracking and reporting sales tax to governmental agencies.
Maintain internal controls within the company and department.
Hire staff, train, write performance appraisals, and administer disciplinary action when appropriate as the company grows.
Manage insurance and property taxes for the company.
Manage Payroll and ensure proper controls are in place for the approval process. Ensure payroll taxes and deductions are set up correctly.
Microsoft Office – Strong Excel skills required.
SAP experience – Preferred but not required.
QuickBooks experience – Required.
Manufacturing experience – Preferred
Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with 5 -10 years’ experience managing an accounting department.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to establish good working relationships.
Advanced accounting experience
Written and oral communications
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to ever changing situations.
