Our client, an industrial equipment dealer based in Atlanta, GA is seeking to bring on an additional Business Development Representative to their Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will be an polished, eager sales-minded individual looking to gain sales experience.

This role is an early career development salaried role on their Sales team, responsible for identifying new prospects within a territory and build those business relationships. They will create sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts while selling approved products and services. This BDR will collaborate with customers to offer solutions for their material handling needs.

Note: This position must sit in Atlanta but company-assisted relocation is possible after 18-24 months to another market as well as company-assistance to Atlanta if needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support territory managers by arranging sales meeting and customer visits
  • Support managers throughout the quoting process
  • Identify new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, cold calls, and email connections
  • Collaborate across internal teams to cross-sell services and products and ensure a positive customer service experience
  • Facilitate demonstrations during on-site follow-up sales meetings
  • Network through current customers to grow pipeline of new leads and opportunities to follow up on
  • Attend departmental meetings to identify and discuss goals and performance
  • Monitor territory by making daily sales calls
  • Track customer interactions through CRM system

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a persistent, professional sales approach and attitude
  • Exhibit an interest into the company’s products and service in the industrial equipment industry
  • Ability to handle rejection and proceed to hunt new business
  • Reliability and punctuality on the job daily
  • Desire to develop into an outside sales rep after 18-24 months
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $50,000-60,000 base salary
  • Quarterly bonuses (approx. $2500/quarter)
