Overview:

We are seeking a Billing and Admin Assistant to join an established business in Lexington, SC. The ideal candidate is energetic, demonstrates a positive attitude and can be a team player. This position will be responsible for processing truck delivery tickets, reconciling accounts payable tickets and invoices, and general accounting functions as well as assisting the HR Administrator.  This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits.

Billing

  • Processing delivery tickets and daily customer orders
  • Entering tickets into accounting system
  • Back up for preparing customer invoices and statements
  • Ability to communicate with other departments as needed to complete daily responsibilities
  • Maintain an orderly and accurate filing system for tickets and associated billing paperwork
  • Addressing customer questions / concerns regarding tickets in a timely manner

Accounting

  • Reconciliation of delivery tickets to accounts payable invoices
  • Accounts payable functions – processing vendor invoices, entering into accounting software (QuickBooks), making payments, investigating overdue bills, etc.
  • Cross training on accounts receivable – creating customer invoices, processing payments (checks, ACH, credit cards), investigating customer inquiries regarding AR, etc.

HR and Payroll

  • Assist HR Administrator with onboarding employees
  • Assist in maintenance of employee personnel files while practicing company-wide file retention policies
  • Process PTO requests from employees

Administrative

  • Limited reception duties
  • Various administrative functions to support the office (scanning, printing, checking & posting mail, etc.)
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment as authorized by management
  • Assist in preparation for and planning of staff meetings, safety meetings, and employee events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Technical record keeping
  • Able to research, analyze, and retrieve data necessary to complete duties
  • Able to perform mathematical computations accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office (intermediate)
  • Willingness to learn Quickbooks data entry, experience is a plus!

Compensation & Benefits Overview:

  • $17/hr+ (depending on experience)
