Full-service boutique landlord-tenant and creditor’s rights law firm seeking an Associate Attorney for its North Carolina team. The firm’s primary practice areas include landlord-tenant law, foreclosures, replevins, bankruptcy, collections, and general litigation matters focused on landlord-tenant law, real estate, and creditors’ rights-related issues. We are seeking a motivated associate attorney to assist in each of these practice areas. This position will provide a wide range of valuable experiences to the prospective applicant including direct client interaction, document production, and courtroom experience. The firm has a casual office with flexible scheduling as well as a collaborative work environment. This position can be remote but must be available for 50% travel within North Carolina.  This attorney will be supporting the North Carolina client base.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior litigation partner
  • Legal Research
  • Represent clients in court throughout the state of North Carolina
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations

Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited law school
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina- Licensed in South Carolina is a bonus.
  • Admission to the District Court of North Carolina is a plus
  • Strong Research and Writing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as the applicant will be expected to interact directly with clients, court personnel, and defendants on a daily basis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
