Large poultry company in search of an Assistant Feed Mill Manager for their Delmar, DE location. The Assistant Manager will work alongside the manager with responsibilities for the operation of a feed manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment and machinery are functioning properly.

Complete all paperwork and reports associated with mill.

Match feed delivery tickets, etc.
-
Schedule, supervise, and evaluate employee’s work.

Take personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, and/or disciplinary actions.

Uphold of a variety of procedures, policies, and/or standards.

Supervise all employees throughout the mill including feed haul drivers.

Schedule maintenance for the mill when needed.

Prepare batch feed when necessary.

Prepare capital budgets and expenditures.

Dispatch when needed.
-
Implement quality control and operating procedures for the feed mill.

Fulfilling various roles within the feed mill to offer assistance, as necessary, and provide training to new team members

Ensuring that the feed mill complies with all regulations and safety

Help with cleaning duties in specific areas
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Two or more years of feed mill manufacturing
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
-
Ability to perform basic math functions to create accurate reports and maintain inventory levels
