A Financial Services company in Columbia is seeking a temp-to-hire Accounting Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have several years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience in the banking or mortgage industry.

- Reviews and processes financial transactions such as invoices, expense reports, and journals
- Enters data into financial systems to aid accounting efforts of the work group
- Performs a number of administrative tasks to research and address customer inquiries
- Resolves exceptions within the Bank’s policies and recommends adjustments as necessary
- Assists with system changes and testing including upgrades, troubleshooting, and new system searches
- Utilizes knowledge of accounting regulations and policies to ensure compliance in all activities
- 3 – 5 years of accounting experience or Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Basic understanding of SOX and GAAP
- Experience in banking industry a plus
- $24 – $28/hr
