Sara Thompson

Executive Search Consultant

Sara serves as an Executive Search Consultant on FGP’s Finance and Accounting team. She is a talented recruiter working across all industry sectors assisting companies with critical positions in finance, accounting, and audit. She is skilled in Sales, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Team Building, Marketing, and Employee Relations.

Prior to joining FGP, Sara has enjoyed recruiting in a variety of industries including financial services, healthcare, insurance, legal, real estate, and banking. Her background offers Sara a unique perspective allowing her to provide her clients with creative and effective solutions. She is passionate about building relationships and creating alignment between both clients and candidates, making placements that are not only life changing but result in significant impact to organizations. Sara graduated from Radford University with bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Public Relations.

What is your favorite sport to watch or play?

College Football.  I have pulled for Clemson since we moved here in 2014.  Go Tigers!  (unless they are playing Virginia Tech!)  Go Hokies!

What do you love to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my husband and high school sweetheart, Ian, our daughter, Grayson Ann and our sweet pup, Asher.  We enjoy exploring new places and spend many weekends going to the mountains, beaches, cities.  Rarely visiting the same place twice!  I also enjoy cooking, gardening, reading and girl time with friends.

What motivates you to work hard?

I come from a family that has always had hardworking, successful women.  My mom and aunt have been role models to me throughout my life.  They are both hardworking, driven and built great careers for themselves.  I tend to compete within myself and it thrills me to beat my goals.
