Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology strongly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or related IT roles.

Relevant certifications for managing both IBM and Apple environments.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (CJIS, HIPAA, PCI).

Excellent research, communication, consultative, and negotiation skills; must adapt across diverse systems and media.
Daily Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate system firewalls and security tools daily to ensure adequate protection across County systems.

Research current cybersecurity trends and threats, recommending proactive solutions and security improvements.

Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, malware attacks, or system vulnerabilities, containing issues and preventing further impact.

Develop, document, and maintain IT security policies and procedures; assess and report on compliance with CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI.

Manage software updates, system patches, and user access controls to maintain a secure and up-to-date environment.
