Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and proof briefs, motions, discovery, pleadings, memos, correspondence and other similar documents and reports
- Perform complex administrative duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and legal processes
- File briefs, pleadings, and other filings in district/state/federal court
- Schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings, travel and depositions
- Maintain calendars including court deadlines and appearances
- Enter billable time and edit time and pre-bills as needed
- Process expense reimbursements
- Answer incoming calls; prepare documents for shipment; and distribute mail
- Open and maintain client files, cases files and organizational documents
- Respond to inquiries for information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary
- Litigation experience preferred
- Adaptable and self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
- Excellent organization and communication skills
Benefits & Compensation:
- $60,000 – $80,000
