A manufacturing company in Laurens, SC is seeking a temp-to-hire Staff Accountant.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in full charge accounting or bookkeeping, a bachelors degree in accounting, and strong technology skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Implementing accounting system according to Federal and State Tax code.
  • Reviewing and reconciling all banking transactions.
  • Preparing all monthly and year end company financials – P/L, Balance Sheet.
  • Working with third party service regarding company payroll.
  • Review and reconcile ESP Investment accounts.
  • Processing all customer credit card payments.
  • Manage 401K Administrative fees & matching accounts.
  • Responsible for all company wire transfers and ACH/EFT payments.
  • Assist in preparing tax and financial documents.
     
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 3 plus years of financial experience in manufacturing setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and GAAP principles
     
Compensation: 
  • $29 – $36/hr
