Our client, a religious order in North Augusta, GA, seeks an Executive Director. Ideal candidates will be experienced non-profit leaders with management expertise, financial acumen, fundraising and marketing/communications experience, and an ability to work collaboratively. The ED is responsible for overseeing the Order’s operations, including the re-establishment of a Guest Ministry program. The position reports directly to the Community Leader and Board of Directors.
 
The group is a religious order in The Episcopal Church, located in North Augusta, South Carolina, and is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. 
 
Mission: To show forth the love of Christ through a monastic life of prayer, hospitality, and service. 
 
 Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations and administration of the organization, including supervision of staff.
  • Plan and monitor the annual budget.
  • Oversee and manage marketing, newsletters, website, and other communications efforts.
  • Work closely with office manager and oversee accounting and day-to-day finances.
  • Oversee scope of building and grounds maintenance.
  • With the Board of Directors, review and approve contracts for services, including leases and healthcare benefits.
  • Revive the Guest Ministry program.
  • Increase revenue through grant writing, giving program, work with current donors and expansion of donor base. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Community Leader and/or Board of Directors.
 
Qualifications Needed   
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-5 years of non-profit experience.
  • Excellent character with transparent, high integrity leadership and strong relationship skills including a strong ability to honor confidentiality.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with staff.
  • Experience in human resources including working knowledge of human resources law and practices.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, and decision-making.
  • Strategic planning expertise.
  • Expertise in marketing communications, including website development, newsletters, etc.
  • Proven experience with grant writing and fundraising that generates new revenue streams and improves financial results preferred.
