We are seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Remote Insurance Supervisor to lead and oversee the operations of our insurance department. This fee-producing role is performance-based, where commissions are tied to the achievement of assigned agent, group, departmental, and company goals.

The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare insurance collections, a proven track record of managing teams, and the ability to develop and execute strategies to meet performance targets. This position requires a hands-on approach in training, coaching, and motivating staff to excel, along with a focus on improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee administrative functions within the Insurance department.
  • Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to monitor efficiency.
  • Coach, train, and mentor staff to ensure they meet individual and team goals.
  • Develop incentive programs and contests to motivate staff and drive performance.
  • Provide leadership and support to collection staff to help them achieve daily performance targets.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new staff members.
  • Conduct monthly quality reviews to ensure adherence to policies and workflow standards.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce errors and improve reimbursement processes.
  • Communicate regularly with the billing manager to discuss department status, workflows, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage inventory for insurance-related documentation and accounts.
  • Handle client communications, including emails and required reporting, in a professional manner.
  • Perform audits on accounts, ensuring that they align with company guidelines for auditing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare insurance collections; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing 12+ direct reports.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar management software.
  • Solid experience in auditing insurance accounts and generating QA reports.
  • Proven ability to motivate staff and ensure peak performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
