A well-known nonprofit client in Greenville, SC is looking for a candidate to serve as their Director of Development. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of donor fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepares and monitors comprehensive annual fundraising plans
  • Recommend fundraising policies, practices and procedures to support organizational growth
  • Collaborating with the team to develop short- and long-term development plans that compliments the goals outlined in the strategic plan
  • Perform donor and prospect research to determine giving potential
  • Lead and coordinate partnership and major donor giving programs and activities.
  • Ensure appropriate recognition and follow up with partners and donors in timely manner
  • Oversee all corporate in-kind gift efforts
  • Ensure that all partnership commitment forms are agreed upon and signed by partner and that payment schedules are agreed upon
  • Provide accurate development reports to management
  • Ensure that all donation revenue is tracked, and the donor database is up to date.
  • Provide input into organizational planning and other departments as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to Five years of nonprofit fundraising experience; major gifts experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to meet financial goals for major gift giving
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with using and maintaining donor database software.
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible in leadership and execution of role.
