In search of an experienced Defense Attorney for an interim position with a Law Firm in Columbia.  This person will be working with a team of several associates on open cases.  Candidate must be within driving distance of Columbia area and willing to drive onsite several times a week as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Initial factual investigation including onsite visits, interviewing witnesses, taking depositions; working with fact and expert witnesses
  • Writing and arguing motions and preparing written assessments
  • Completing all phases of discovery
  • Conducting mediation
  • Trial preparation, trying case to completion
Qualifications:
  • Member in good standing with standing with South Carolina Bar
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in tort litigation defense
Compensation:
  • $50/hr (flexible based on experience)
