Our client in the telecommunications space is seeking a temporary Customer Service Representative to cover a medical leave for 1-2 months. This position is fully on-site M-F, 8-4:30pm.

This candidate will be handling collections, front desk responsibilities (greeting customers and answering the phones), and various clerical responsibilities for the customer service department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide professional assistance to all customers, acting as the first point of contact to welcome customers and visitors.
  • Answer incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate individuals or taking messages as needed.
  • Accept equipment repairs either in-person or via UPS, and generate work tickets for repairs.
  • Process parts orders and requests for repairs and sales orders.
  • Manage inventory control tasks, including creating purchase orders, placing and receiving orders, and ensuring all parts removed from inventory are logged on a work ticket.
  • Assist with periodic inventory audits to verify accurate counts and address any discrepancies.
  • Review work tickets for accuracy, documentation, billing type, and pricing prior to finalization.
  • Maintain customer contact information, billing details, and equipment records in Lifeline.
  • Handle and track all Shop Warranty Claims.
  • Mail billing statements to customers at the end of each month.
  • Process recurring billing for maintenance customers and community repeater clients.
  • Manage payments via cash and credit card, including following up on aged receivables.
  • Oversee the company credit card for the shop, ensuring all receipts are submitted to accounts payable and appropriately entered on work tickets when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional communication, both verbally and in writing, at all organizational levels.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to anticipate and address issues proactively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking required.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Experience in accounts receivable and purchasing is a plus.

COMPENSATION: $20-23/hour
