Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and service commitments of the inbound and outbound logistics center operations. This includes but is not limited to driving creation of quality initiatives (5S), process change initiatives, and other lean initiatives to enable the logistics center to exceed business plans and objectives. This individual will set and clarify requirements and expectations of the Supervisors by measuring performance, providing feedback, and maintaining high levels of accountability. He/she will work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, IT, Training, Corporate) to build and secure support for projects and initiatives at the distribution center. He/she will also work closely with the CEO to influence and implement corporate strategic plans.

Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
- Manage annual, monthly, and daily goals for various productivity and quality levels.
- Develop labor models and productivity tracking tools to manage the day-to-day work plan.
- Manage, train, and develop the supervisors in training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and coaching associates, addressing complaints, and removing obstacles.
- Work closely with contract labor on-site agency representatives to ensure the needs of the operation are being met each day.
- Must possess high motivation, enthusiasm and dedication to deliver results within strict timeframes.
- Ability to be flexible, as our fulfillment facility may operate in multiple shifts and as full week operations to support business needs.
- Manage cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, plan and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to train, mentor, and coach associates, supervisors and managers on appropriate productivity process and procedures.
- Ability to define problems through gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions in order to make adjustments to the facility that operates in a constantly changing business environment.
- Ability to think critically through changing priorities and use sound judgment in stressful situations.
- Must possess a high level of communication skills, both verbal and written, to all levels of the organization.
- Participation in budget preparation, revenue and account analyses, as needed by CEO.
- Ability to communicate with customers and manage competing priorities.
- Directly manages Warehouse Supervisors.
- Provides coaching, direction, develops and positively influences direct reports.
- Ensures work flow and processes are to maximum efficiencies for business necessity.
- High School Diploma or GED is required. A combination of acquired education and equivalent experience may be considered.
- Three to five years of managerial experience spanning inbound/outbound, inventory, quality management, warehousing and distribution.
- Automotive OEM or Tier 1 work experience a plus.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and motivational skills, technical/business orientation and analytical skills.
- Successful experience developing performance metrics, process improvements, problem solving techniques, and statistical analysis – KPI‘s
- Successful experience leading lean process, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and/or process improvement experience.
- Change management experience/exposure.
- Management of a minimum of 25 employees (directly or indirectly).
- Experience utilizing a contingent workforce, especially during peak seasons.
- Expert level computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience utilizing various Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Experience with Inconso is a plus.
