Custom fabrication manufacturer in the West Columbia area is looking to add an experienced Document Control Specialist to their highly collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing the documentation materials used by our internal teams and customers. You will work closely with the engineering teams to write and maintain manufacturing records, manuals, SOPs, release notes, and other product documentation.

- Works closely with various departments including Engineering, Production, and Quality to develop maintain, and manage changes to the product specification of all products produced/fabricated by the company.
- Collaborates in real time with Engineering, Production, and Quality personnel to create or edit documents.
- Serves as a liaison in urgent and complex issues for Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Production, and Quality.
- Performs new product and new item setup, specification changes, and product discontinuance tasks through (MRP) software and utilizing MS Office products and ensuring all applicable individuals are notified.
- Develops, verifies, and maintains specification, ensuring correct information is represented.
- Develops, verifies, and maintains additional specifications, including raw materials, packaging components, labels, and outside contract manufacturing
- Creates department training materials, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Evaluates CM checklists to ensure scope meets correct process and/or documentation requirements for implementation.
- Assists with ongoing implementation tasks related to customer specs, including continued testing and system verification.
- Generates and manages the change process for any approved changes ensuring that revisions to specifications and BOMs are accurate and up to date.
- Performs special projects and other duties as they arise.
- Highschool diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of quality experince in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of document experience in a manufacturing environment.
