MARKETING DIRECTOR
  • This is an onsite/in office role located downtown Columbia. 
Manufacturing and distribution organization with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Marketing leader to support the rapid top-line growth of the company by leading all marketing activities.
The ideal candidate would be able to quickly understand customer needs and build awareness of how the company solutions and services can meet those needs. They will possess multifaceted experience balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operations to drive lead generation for the company. This role will require a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and execute marketing processes and strategies that support business growth. The marketing director will be the “face of the company” and the main promoter of the organization’s values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation, drive qualified leads, and support overall company strategy and growth objectives.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and collaboration.
  • Create, conduct, and maintain analytical data gathering and reporting to assess and develop campaign and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal plans and tactics.
  • Define marketing communication activities and programs including advertising, PR, and social media.
  • Work with sales to define selling strategies and tools to drive lead generation and opportunity development
  • Manage and continuously refine the company web presence.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend conference/trade show attendance. Coordinate and lead all target conference participation.
  • Manage the creation and/or refine collateral for each portfolio element, and ensure adequate supply is maintained to support sales activities.
  • Continuously gather, maintain, and analyze intelligence on market trends and competitors and feed that into the marketing plans and strategies.
  • Develop and closely manage the marketing budget.
EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 10 years experience leading a wide range of B2B marketing activities.
  • Proven success in developing marketing strategies, execution plans, and campaigns.
  • Adept in developing marketing materials and sales tools.
  • Experience with website design, development, and management, along with managing web development contractors.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools.
  • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy, with strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and related strategies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
  • Budget development and management experience.
  • A self-starting, self-motivated individual that can deliver agreed goals and objectives with minimal guidance and direction.
  • Clear experience collaborating with leadership team to meet company objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Great people skills with a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel
