We are seeking a professional Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Spartanburg, SC. This is a full time, permanent position with full benefits. The ideal candidate will an Associates Degree and 1-2 years of AP experience.
Job Description:
- Receive and process all invoices received
- Accurately post and verify invoices for correctness and obtain proper approval prior to processing
- Pay vendors on time and according to terms allowed
- Ensure that all paid invoices are scanned and linked to the vendor records, file paper copies for records retention
- Review and analyze all purchasing card transactions, investigate any fraudulent activities and maintain credit limits
- Reconcile company accounts to the general ledger as needed
- Assist with payroll processing, and close monthly payroll records
- Monitor Medical Insurance bank account daily and make transfers from the general fund as needed
- Assist Accounting manager with daily functions as needed
- Assist auditors with requests during their period of fieldwork
- Foster and maintain relationships with vendors, and other organizations
- Perform general administrative tasks and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain office supply inventory and order items as needed
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of relevant AP or Accounting expereince
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office Suites including Excel
- Positive, team player attitude!
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday 10 hour days (6:30am-5pm)
- Fridays OFF
- 100% onsite
Compensation:
- $23 – $25 hourly
